Welcome to Maud Henry Creations (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from us, including ready-to-wear ladies’ headwear and bespoke headwear.
These Terms are written in accordance with UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

3. Intellectual Property & Design Rights
All content, including designs, imagery, branding, and bespoke concepts, remain the intellectual property of Maud Henry Creations.
For bespoke items:
- All original designs remain our property unless otherwise agreed in writing
- We reserve the right to reproduce or adapt design concepts unless exclusivity has been expressly purchased
You may not replicate, commission copies, or distribute our designs without consent.
4. Product Representation
Each piece is carefully handcrafted and may feature subtle variations that enhance its uniqueness.
Please note:
- Colours may vary slightly due to screen displays
- Materials and finishes may differ slightly from images due to sourcing and craftsmanship
These variations are not considered defects.
5. Orders & Contract Formation
5.1 Order Process
After placing an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email. A legally binding contract is only formed once your order has been accepted and dispatched.
5.2 Order Refusal
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders due to:
- Pricing errors
- Product unavailability
- Suspected fraudulent activity
6. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in GBP (£).
Online payments are processed securely via Stripe. By placing an online order, you agree to:
- Provide accurate payment details
- Authorise payment at the time of purchase
We do not store or have access to your full payment details.
We reserve the right to amend pricing at any time.
7. Delivery
Ready-to-Wear Items
Usually dispatched within 2 working days.
Bespoke Items
Lead times are individually agreed and may vary depending on complexity.
We are not liable for delays caused by couriers, or events outside our control.
Risk transfers to you upon delivery.
8. Bespoke Services
Our bespoke service is a collaborative, design-led process.
8.1 Consultation & Deposit
- A consultation is required prior to production
- A non-refundable deposit (typically 50%) is required to secure your booking
8.2 Design & Approval
- Design concepts, sketches, or samples may be provided
- Final approval (written or email) is required before production begins
- Once approved, responsibility for design choices transfers to you
8.3 Revisions
- Reasonable revisions may be included at our discretion
- Significant design changes may incur additional costs
8.4 Cancellations
- Deposits are non-refundable
- Orders cannot be cancelled once production has commenced
8.5 Completion & Balance
- Final payment must be made prior to dispatch or collection
9. Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Rights
9.1 Ready-to-Wear Items
Under UK law, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your order.
To qualify:
- Items must be unworn, unused, and returned in original condition
- You must notify us within 14 days and return within a further 14 days
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt.
9.2 Exemptions (Bespoke Items)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, bespoke or personalised goods are exempt from cancellation rights.
Therefore, bespoke items are non-refundable unless faulty.
9.3 Return Costs
Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty.
10. Faulty or Incorrect Items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality.
If an item is faulty:
- Notify us within 48 hours of receipt
- Provide photographic evidence where possible
We will offer a repair, replacement, or refund in line with your statutory rights.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Loss of business, profit, or opportunity
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Your statutory consumer rights

We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We will only use your personal data to:
- Process and fulfil orders
- Communicate with you regarding your purchase
- Improve our services
Payment data is processed securely via Stripe and is not stored by us.

13. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers including Stripe and delivery partners. We are not responsible for their independent policies or service interruptions.
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, supply chain disruption, or pandemics.
15. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any changes.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
